I'll usually sketch out my comic by hand-and-pencil first to get a general quick idea. Then I'll re-draw it using Adobe Illustrator. I have used Flash and like it, but it's been a few years since I used it. Flash is awesome, but I already had Illustrator. I don't animate much (but did a lot when I had Flash... in college), mainly because it take so much time. I work two jobs and also freelance, so I have little freetime. One day when I become independently wealthy I'll animate more.
Rose says, "The problem is I love so many different styles that I can't decide on which one to follow."
A thing about style. Style usually form as a result of doing something over and over and over, and over again More often than not, when one attempts to develop a style FIRST they will be frustrated. Styes will most likely come from within the person. The process, tools and zeitgeist have a part in the style, but the biggest part is what is inside of the artist.
If the artist draws a LOT then his or her styles will develop more quickly. If the artist draws on rarely, then his or her style will take longer to develop.
In other words, draw and draw A LOT. Use your skills, talents and knowledge to tell a story (the story will most likely come from inside of you). You story could be from your own history, or it could be a reaction to your current world and life. You must figure out what you want to say.
As you figure out what it is that you want to say and how you want to say it, and as your skills and abilities of visually recording it increase and advance, then your style will appear and blossom.
